Working with local primary schools, I have found that the willingness to do a good job with languages is already there, and even where the knowledge may be a little lacking, the primary school staff have already begun to fill in the gaps, as they usually do whenever they have to teach something new - this ability is awesome!

Therefore, it would seem that all we need to do is to provide a coherent framework which is universally agreed, where everyone knows what is being done, so that we are all working towards a goal: a coherent, useful point of transfer to secondary school. To aid this process, I have put together these areas which will almost certainly be changed. Please have a look, contribute, suggest and "pull apart" what you see here as much as you like, so that the next version can become better.

This scheme of work remains, of course, non-statutory.
